Electronics Product Stewardship Canada is a not-for-profit, industry-led organization comprised of more than twenty leading Canadian electronics manufacturers that are working to implement solutions for the recycling of end-of-life electronics. EPSC members have established a leadership role in creating effective industry-led environmental stewardship programs across Canada, by investing in design for environment improvements to their products and processes, and by establishing an innovative vendor qualification program for the responsible recycling of end-of-life electronics. EPSC is seeking an Environmental Program Manager to report to the President in Markham. The Manager is responsible for assisting in harmonization efforts led by EPSC with the industry-led electronics stewardship programs in Canada. Primarily this will entail the continued development and implementation of EPSC’s pioneering Recycling Vendor Qualification Program (RVQP), including refreshing the recycling standard, creating and coordinating a centralized environmental auditing approach, and promoting the RVQP as the industry standard for responsible recycling of regulated electronics in Canada. The position will also require the development and publishing of an annual overview of design for environment improvements by manufacturers. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Ideal applicants would possess the following attributes: 1. Be fluently bilingual and have a high level of communication competence in both official languages; 2. Experience in dealing with industry groups and Boards of Directors; 3. Strong team leadership and organizational skills; 4. Proven results in program management; 5. Knowledge of environmental stewardship issues; 6. Familiarity with Canada’s IT & electronics industry; 7.
